Could this be your most meaningful role yet? Become a Lleol Transitions Foster Carer with Foster Wales Flintshire Please note: This role requires you to be self-employed Rooted in community. Have you ever wondered whether you could make that difference from your own home? With Foster Wales Flintshire, you can take the experience you already have and use it in the most powerful way possible: by offering stability and belonging to a young person who needs it most. This isn't just fostering. This is Lleol Transitions Fostering - and it could be the most rewarding thing you'll ever do. To foster in the UK, you must meet all of the following requirements: Be 21 years of age or over Have a spare, dedicated bedroom in your home Have experience supporting children, young people, or vulnerable adults (professionally or personally) Be a British citizen or hold Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) in the UK Important - Visa Status We are unable to accept applications from individuals who hold: EU Settled or Pre-Settled Status Graduate visas Skilled Worker visas Student visas Health & Care Worker visas Spouse Visa Any other temporary or time-limited visa We welcome applicants from a wide range of professional backgrounds, including Nursery Nurses, Nursery Practitioners, Counsellors, Probation Officers, Registered Nurses, Educational Psychologists, Prison Officers, Childcare Workers, Registered Managers, Social Workers, Housing Officers, Teachers, Tutors, Substance Misuse Workers, CAMHS Workers, and Youth Offending Workers. If you have experience supporting others through challenging circumstances, you already have the foundation to make a lasting difference as a foster carer. What is Lleol Transitions Fostering? Lleol simply means _local_ in Welsh. That local connection is everything when it comes to a young person's identity, sense of belonging, and their future. We're the local authority fostering team here in Flintshire - we're not a private agency. That means we're fully focused on the children in our area, and committed to finding them the right homes, here in their own communities. Some young people in and around Flintshire need a bit more than traditional foster care. They may be stepping down from residential care or high-support settings, and they need time, understanding, and calm, consistent support to help them adjust to family life. That's where you come in. Could you become a Lleol Transitions Foster Carer? We're looking for people who have experience - either personal or professional - in helping children and young people thrive. Maybe you've worked in schools, care homes, youth work, or healthcare. Maybe you've simply walked alongside children through challenging times. If you can provide a nurturing home and offer your full-time care, we'll be with you every step of the way. A full package of support that reflects your commitment This is fostering with a difference. We understand the dedication and skill that this role asks of you. Now, you have the chance to do it in the most personal and lasting way possible - offering family, belonging, and a place to call home. Foster Wales Flintshire is your local authority fostering team. We're here for our community, for our children, and for people like you. Ready to find out more? Let's talk about whether Lleol Transitions Fostering could be right for you. Make a lasting difference - right where you live. You've already been supporting young people in some way.
