Building trusted relationships with pupils to create a safe, encouraging learning space. Taking a hands-on, proactive approach to get involved in all aspects of school life. Providing a nurturing and patient attitude to help students overcome frustrations and celebrate successes. Adapting support strategies to meet a wide range of needs, from autism to severe learning difficulties. What we re looking for: A minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent). Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (EYFS or above). Bonus skills: MAKATON, PECS, Visual Aids, PEG Feed, Hoist Training (but don t worry if not training can be given).
