This role is offered as supported employment and you will undertake training whilst working towards the Level 4 Domestic and Sexual Abuse Support Worker Apprenticeship. You will be allocated dedicated study time to complete this qualification. There is an expectation that the post holder will be able to take on a reduced caseload on completion of our core induction training programme. The apprenticeship is expected to last for a period of around 21 months depending on qualification completion. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager for the Worcestershire Drug and Alcohol Service, within our Criminal Justice Team. Cranstoun Worcestershire operates the alcohol and drug service across Worcestershire and provides a range of services for individuals using alcohol or substances. Our Worcestershire service also have services available for young people and families through our Here4Youth service. With hubs in Worcester, Kidderminster and Redditch, we deliver interventions across all six districts, via our shared care scheme and community outreach locations. You will be part of the Worcestershire leadership team and support the County Manager to deliver a safe, effective, and efficient service to our current and future service users. You will line manage a team of Key Workers who work with services users in both a prison and community setting. Amongst other duties you will support individuals' development, support personnel matters, listen, respond, and care about staff and service user wellbeing, oversee performance of your wider team, manage the operational flow of your team, maintain high standards of practice, and support your team to achieve wider service targets. The successful candidate will have proven effective leadership and/or supervisory experience. You will need to demonstrate effective communication and organisational skills and have the ability to manage change whilst working to deadlines. You will need to be confident working with external agencies and deliver learning sessions to your team and other agencies where required. You will need a key eye for detail as part of your role will be to review incidents, ensure compliance with clinical audits and create plans to respond to recommendations. You will also be required to form part of the duty management rota for the service. You'll need to have good writing, verbal and computing skills and be able to work confidently with all Microsoft programs and case management systems. The most important things you'll bring to this role are your experience in the field, integrity, positive attitude, enthusiasm, motivation and ability to use initiative and contribute to the wider delivery of a trauma informed approach. You will supervise a team of Key Workers who run our group programmes across the County, and our Volunteer and Peer Mentor Co-ordinator. Supporting the development, design and coordination of workshops and group programmes, ensuring content is evidence-based, person-centred and aligned with organisational objectives and contractual requirements. You will have demonstrable experience of working with people who use substances and/or carers, or another vulnerable groups for at least two years. You will also have experience of supervising health care professionals. You will have knowledge of national guidance relating to clinical standards and knowledge of reflective practice and supervision.
