Contentious Probate Partner Our client, a highly respected, award winning, Legal 500 firm is offering an exciting opportunity to join its growing litigation department in the role of Contentious Probate Partner. As a Contentious Probate Partner, you will: Manage a varied caseload of inheritance disputes, will challenges and trust litigation Have exposure to complex, high-value contentious probate work Assist with the growth and development of the contentious probate team Work closely with senior colleagues on complex matters and business development initiatives Responsible for all aspects of Contentious Probate Litigation work and on occasions, where appropriate providing technical expertise and guidance Ability to manage appropriate caseload types and complexities Assisting with casework including dealing with a range of Contentious Probate Litigation cases including: Inheritance Dependants Act 1975 claims; Proprietary estoppel claims; Will disputes - challenging Wills on the basis of capacity; duress and forgery; Removing Executors in their roles for failure to administer the estate; Devastavit claims Attending clients, taking instructions and preparing cases Dealing with correspondence Maintaining accurate time costing procedures The ideal candidate will be a Qualified Solicitor 5+ with solid experience in contentious probate, be confident managing files independently, while collaborating as part of a team, and possess excellent client care, communication and organisational skills You should also hold a professional pro-active approach, strong client care skills and a sensitive and sympathetic understanding of clients' needs In return, the firm offers a highly competitive salary with performance-based incentives, flexible/hybrid working arrangements, a collaborative and supportive firm culture focused on well-being, diversity and inclusion and exposure to complex, high-value contentious probate work With strategic plans to expand its contentious probate offering, this is a chance to work on high-quality matters within a supportive, forward-thinking environment where your contribution will truly matter.
