Location: Manchester/hybrid Our reputable client is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team. As Finance Manager you will be the key management for UK business and have responsibility for the financial compliance including statutory reporting, tax compliance and internal audit, supporting the CFO. Key responsibilities: Production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts, investigating variances between actual costs and budgets and providing commentary to the accounts accordingly The monitoring and controlling cash flow and update rolling cashflow forecasts Managing P&L, reviewing and presenting to Managing Director Issuing invoices for business services Processing supplier payments and ensuring all queries are dealt with Credit control and purchase ledger duties - managing aged debtors and chasing debt Owning month end process including analysis, commentary, and reporting Identifying opportunities for cost reduction and revenue optimisation Management of the businesses financial accounting and reporting systems Production of accurate financial reports Running month end payroll Calculation and submission of VAT return Assisting the CFO with year-end statutory returns Involvement with budgeting and forecasting processes Balance sheet reconciliations Ad hoc duties when required Key skills and experience: 5+ years relevant experience (QBE) Highly competent, with solid commercial acumen Dynamic, committed, and experienced Highly skilled in Excel (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.) Experience reconciling balance sheet accounts Experience calculating and reporting VAT Experience with CCH Tagetik, Oracle EPMS/HFM/Essbase desirable but not essential Have a strong, all-round finance background and ideally worked within an SME environment Have experience of managing and running payroll Experience of owning month end Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial Key Words: Finance Manager, Finance, Account Manager, Compliance FS1 Recruitment is a UK-based recruitment agency providing solutions within the Sales, Marketing and Creative fields for permanent, freelance and contract positions please contact us to discuss one of our many positions.
