This role reports into the Head of Safety. Overview To engage and motivate the Leicester site with their Health, Safety and Environmental (EHS) agenda by ensuring legal compliance, best practice implementation and to encourage a more proactive safety culture. Scope to own projects and have exposure to exciting programmes of work to update, improve and ensure the site is future fit. Duties Lead the development and implementation of site-wide EHS strategy in alignment with group and legal requirements. Design and maintain systems and processes to manage all aspects of Health, Safety, and Environmental performance. Lead site EHS improvement plans and ensure all departments are engaged in delivering objectives. Drive continuous improvement through audits, KPI monitoring, management reviews and site-wide initiatives. Prepare and submit monthly EHS KPI reports to site and group leadership teams, highlighting trends, risks, progress and performance against targets. Ensure EHS considerations are integrated into all capital projects and operational change processes. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all applicable legislation and assess impact on site operations. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including reporting under RIDDOR and Environmental Permitting Regulations. Ensure legal registers, risk assessments, COSHH, SSoWs and incident records are complete, reviewed and accessible. Manage audit and inspection programmes and oversee the timely close-out of all actions in line with company policy. Represent the site during inspections or interactions with external stakeholders (e.g. HSE, EA, auditors). Develop, lead, and maintain the site Risk Management Plan. Identify, assess, and mitigate EHS risks across all operations and service areas. Ensure all incidents and near misses are thoroughly investigated, and lessons learned are shared across teams. Prepare and present monthly EHS reports, including AFR2, Observations, Environmental KPIs, Training Compliance, and Audit Status. Track and report on environmental metrics such as waste, water, energy, emissions, and sustainability KPIs. Prepare the annual EHS budget for the site including forecasted costs for training, PPE, contractor services, audits and capital improvement projects. Present and justify budget proposals to senior leadership. Ensure ongoing cost control throughout the year, tracking actual vs forecast spend and proactively identifying variances or efficiencies. Oversee and manage EHS training delivery and compliance across all departments. Ensure all employees and contractors are trained in relevant policies and procedures. Maintain a documented training matrix and ensure all statutory and role-specific training is current. Champion EHS culture and visible leadership across all levels of the site. Ensure consistent EHS messaging and updates are shared with teams via meetings, campaigns and communications. Actively contribute to wider operational and technical strategy across the site and their leadership team. Senior HR Business Partner- 6 month FTC London- 3 days in office. 105,000 pro rata plus discretionary bonus Middlemore have been retained by the HR Director of an established financial services firm in London to recruit an immediate Strategic HR Business Partner for an initial six-month fixed term contract. A permanent opportunity will be available thereafter, but candidates must be able to start immediately and attend the London office three days per week.
