My client specialise in servicing a wide spectrum in all moulding materials. They are toolmakers and precision engineers specialising in the design and manufacture of all production tooling. We are currently looking for experienced Quality Engineer to join this company based in Lancashire. Key skills required of the Quality Engineer: Must have over 5 years working experience as a Quality Engineer in the engineering manufacturing industry We require experience in large project environment, preferably in the nuclear (or heavily regulated) sector, with significant focus on Product/project quality role Must ahve experience in assuring compliance with National and International standards such as ISO 9001, ISO14001; ISO 3834; EN10204 Experience planning and conducting Internal and Supplier Audits is require The ability to carry out inspections to appropriate standards. Experience in the review of Quality Records (e.g. Material Certification; CFSI) The ability and knowledge to be able to analyse quality data at various levels across the business The ability to influence and to provide constructive challenge which is accepted by others; The ability to build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders; Experience in that application of Quality tools (5 whys, 8d, Ishikawa etc.) The successful Quality Engineer will be responsible for supporting Client Projects normally operating within a Multi Discipline Teams by the provision of quality management and control services. Key skills required of the Sliding Head Setter Programmer: Must have proven experience in setting and programming CNC sliding head lathes Experience of Citizen or Star machines is required Ability to work to tight tolerances with various metals, including exotic alloys. Capable of reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings. Must have strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ideally, you will have completed an engineering apprenticeship; however, relevant experience will be considered equally valuable. Key Responsibilities Set and program Citizen or Star sliding head lathes for precision batch production. Read, interpret and work to complex engineering drawings and specifications. Perform first-off inspections and quality checks to ensure component accuracy. Work on prototype and repeat batch work in line with production schedules. Collaborate with the production team to troubleshoot, optimise and maintain machine performance. Maintain a clean and safe working environment and follow health & safety guidelines. The Role This is a hands-on role involving the setting, programming and operating of sliding head CNC lathes to manufacture small to medium batch components. You will be working to tight aerospace tolerances and with a range of high-specification materials including stainless steel, aluminium, brass, and titanium. CNC Miller Programmer We are working with well established company who are actively seeking a skilled CNC Milelr to join their existing team. You will be working on high quality, high integrity parts in a range of materials, the role on offer will be challenging and rewarding. In particular, for this role, we are seeking candidates with experience of Boko machine tools and Heidenhain control knowledge. Key Responsibilities include; Machining of high integrity components and fabrications from a variety of materials. Programming, setting and operation of machines as required, including prove out of new programs. Work to an exacting quality standard to ensure parts are machined right first time and on time. Maintain a high level of housekeeping to ensure the on-going cleanliness of the facilities. Ensure that route card instructions are followed and that all documentation is completed to company procedures.
