Were seeking an experienced Head of Legal Services to lead our passionate in-house team, driving excellence in social housing law and contributing to our future approach on key issues and services. You will provide expert advice on complex housing and property matters, with a focus on tenancy and leasehold litigation, and new the impact of new legislation in these areas. Youll lead a team providing a high-quality service on both routine volume matters and more complex cases, ensuring high quality client care for your internal customers in our housing and property teams. Most of the 15-strong team are based at our offices in Farringdon, London, and regularly work together in person. You can also be based at our office in Beeston, Nottingham, but regular time in London will be needed, especially in the first few months. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a high-performing legal team. Provide strategic advice on housing litigation and property law. Deliver training and share legal expertise across the organisation. Ensure cost-effective legal services and compliance with regulations. Deliver strong value for money across all aspects of legal work in your control and drive continuous improvement. About You Qualified solicitor or barrister with 7+ years PQE. Strong experience in housing law, ideally in a housing provider or local government environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and drafting skills. Ability to manage change and work across a large, complex organisation. This role is responsible for managing the project from inception to launch, ensuring all technical planning, documentation, and governance processes are in place. The Project Manager will work closely with the Cyber Security Manager and other key stakeholders to coordinate the discovery and implementation phases, manage risks, and oversee procurement and onboarding of security tools. Strong communication and stakeholder management are essential, as the role involves chairing meetings, delivering presentations, and ensuring all deliverables meet security standards. The ideal candidate will have experience delivering complex cyber security or IT transformation projects, knowledge of cloud and SaaS security best practices, and relevant certifications such as Prince 2 Practitioner and CISSP. What you'll do: Lead the end-to-end delivery of the Cyber Essentials Security Programme, including planning, execution, and reporting. Work alongside the Cyber Security Manager, Senior Cyber Security Engineer, Technology Business Analyst and Project Support Officer to ensure successful project delivery. Oversee the discovery and implementation phases, ensuring milestones are met within agreed tolerances for time, cost, and quality. Establish and manage the project board and governance structures. Coordinate procurement and onboarding of tools (e.g., Tenable add-ons) and services. Identify and engage all stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of objectives, progress, and changes. Prepare and deliver stakeholder presentations and communications plans. Identify, document, and manage project risks, dependencies, and issues. Recommend and implement improvements based on evolving threats and assessment findings.
