What you'll do: Assess apprentices in the workplace against qualification standards Support learners to develop their knowledge, skills and behaviours Provide clear, constructive feedback to support progress Monitor and track learner progress to ensure timely achievement Work closely with employers to support apprentice development Maintain accurate assessment records and documentation Ensure compliance with awarding body and quality standards What we're looking for: Assess engineering apprenticeship standards, including Machining, Mechatronics, and Engineering Technician, ensuring learners meet required competencies and industry standards. Utilise Smart Assessor to effectively track progress, upload portfolios, and maintain accurate learner records in line with awarding body and compliance requirements. Hold a relevant engineering qualification (Level 3 or above), demonstrating strong technical knowledge across engineering disciplines. Possess a recognised assessor qualification (essential), ensuring high-quality and compliant assessment practice. Demonstrate strong communication and organisational skills, enabling effective planning, feedback delivery, and documentation management. Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with learners and employers, supporting engagement and successful programme outcomes. Adopt a proactive and supportive approach to learner development, providing guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to help individuals achieve their full potential. Hold a full driving licence with willingness to travel, supporting on-site workplace assessments and employer visits.
