We are looking to recruit an experienced Lead Production Support Engineer to lead a team of engineers, operating on a rotating shift pattern. The role will require fault finding, Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), installations and upgrades to circuitry, as well as providing mechanical support during breakdowns as required. All work must be completed effectively, with machine downtime being kept to a minimum, and within target expectations whilst adhering to the latest Health and Safety Regulations and best practices. Essential Experience/Qualifications: Level 3 Engineering Apprenticeship or equivalent level qualification Experience working in an automated production environment Machine setting experience Previous Team leading experience Strong engineering background Electrically and Mechanically Strong knowledge of Health and Safety practices Ability to build strong working relationships Understanding of working in a controlled environment Ability to manage downtime and priorities Continuous improvement mindset Ability to modify machine wiring Ability to read engineering drawings electrically and mechanically Desirable Experience/Qualifications: Experience of Injection Molding Knowledge and understanding of quick changeover best practices 18th Edition PLC knowledge Key Skills: Good communication Good people skills Able to work to deadlines Able to multitask and prioritise workload Able to make decisions and self manage Able to work in a team and on own initiative Able to function effectively across a number of interrelated departments Self-motivated and willing to learn Have a can-do attitude with an enthusiastic approach to work Basic computer skills Methodical, organised and structured approach to work Excellent attention to detail Able to work in a safe manner complying with Health and Safety Legislation Able to act in a fair and reasonable way High level of commitment Flexibility to work additional hours if required to support the facility Hours of Work: 4 on, 4 off shift pattern from 1st May (currently operating a 2 on, 2 off shift pattern) From 1st May: 4 days on, 4 days off, 4 nights on, 4 nights off (currently operating a 2 days on, 2 days off, 2 nights on, 2 nights off shift pattern) 7:00am - 19:30pm and 19:00pm - 7:30am Equal Opportunities We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workplace for all. Cleaner responsibilities include maintaining shared areas, toilets, offices, and other areas across the factory.
