Key Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with local charities, disability organisations, and community group Collaborate with charities to co-host events, share resources and promote inclusive activities Use social media and newsletters to highlight charity-led initiatives and service updates Advocate for lived experience in service design and delivery Support users with signposting to relevant charities and support services Attend community events and forums to gather feedback and strengthen partnerships Represent service users in internal meetings and contract reviews What You Bring Personal or carer experience with wheelchairs or healthcare services Strong communication and relationship-building skills Confidence using social media and creating community-focused content Strategic thinking and ability to manage multiple priorities Flexibility to attend charity and community events UK driving licence (essential) Why It Matters As CHEO, you'll be a visible, trusted presence in the community - especially among local charities, disability groups, and support networks. Our Ipswich Approved Repair Service supports our NHS Wheelchair service in the distribution and maintenance of chairs across the whole of Suffolk, we are a dedicated team and take pride in our achievements to the support the needs of others. Ross Care, part of the Medux work in partnership with the NHS to supply the necessary equipment and aids that help supporting schools care homes hospital's & Patient's within their homes on a daily basis. Job purpose: As a company help us to achieve the agreed contractual standard of service required. By completing initial training in the workshop reconditioning wheelchair equipment to gain essential product knowledge & support your development. On completion of initial training this will enable you to work out in the field delivering, collecting, repairing, and servicing wheelchairs all in the knowledge you helped in the needs of others. The expectation is that once fully trained most jobs will be completed on a first-time fix basis. A job done first time basis means no impact on our Patients. We have structured parts storage set to help support first time fix and both our team and service are proud of its achievements. The Role: Delivering and collecting wheelchairs to and from service user's homes and NHS departments, always ensuring that the Company Infection Control Policy is followed. Servicing and repairing wheelchairs in the field with the aim of achieving a first time fix whenever possible. Ensure all paperwork/Scanners relating to each job is read carefully and completed with all the necessary information regarding parts used and action taken written onto the job card to enable the administration team to accurately update the data base. Ensure any PPE supplied for use in carrying out your duties is used as instructed. Once fully trained undertake out of hours responsibility when rostered. Observe all regulations covering the driving and use of the Company vehicle on the public highway and be aware of employee responsibility under the Health & Safety at Work Act.
