Multi-Skilled Engineer Weekend Shift FMCG Manufacturing Near Newcastle Scantec Recruitment is working in partnership with a leading FMCG manufacturing business near Newcastle to recruit a Multi-Skilled Engineer for their weekend engineering team. Production does not run at weekends, so this role is heavily focused on planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and project work. You ll be part of a small, close-knit engineering team, supporting the site through scheduled maintenance, improvements and CAPEX activity. The role is predominantly mechanical, with some basic electrical fault-finding and maintenance required. Shift Pattern Regular weekend work 12-hour day shifts Saturday & Sunday Plus one additional 12-hour day shift during the week (Flexible, typically Friday or Monday) The Role You ll be responsible for providing engineering and technical support across production lines and ancillary equipment, ensuring all maintenance activities are carried out safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
