Estimator Location: Kent Salary: 85,000 DOE + Comprehensive Benefits Package THE OPPORTUNITY CPXR is recruiting for an Estimator to join a well-established general construction contractor based in Kent . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced estimator with a background in new build, refurbishment, or commercial construction who is looking to work on a varied portfolio of projects. You'll play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, supporting business growth, and helping secure future work within a collaborative and expanding team. THE ROLE Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions for a range of construction projects. Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents to produce detailed pricing and cost plans. Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing. Identify project risks, value engineering opportunities, and alternative construction solutions. Liaise with pre-construction, commercial, and operational teams throughout the tender process. Maintain tender records and support negotiations through to contract award. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE Previous experience as an Estimator, Senior Estimator, Assistant Estimator, or Pre-Construction Estimator . Background working for a main contractor on new build, refurbishment, fit-out, or general construction projects. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and procurement processes. Experience preparing competitive tenders and detailed cost estimates. Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Conquest, Causeway, CostX, or similar. Excellent commercial awareness with strong analytical and communication skills. Candidates from main contracting, design & build, commercial construction, residential, education, healthcare, industrial, or mixed-use backgrounds will also be considered.
