HSE Advisor - Major Energy Infrastructure Project Contract: 12-month rolling contract Duration: 3-4 year project programme Start Date: ASAP Rate: 500 per day - Outside IR35 Location: Norfolk Turner Lovell are currently recruiting for an experienced EHS Advisor to join a major energy infrastructure project in Norfolk, supporting a large-scale programme with both onshore and offshore scope. You will join an established project safety team, working alongside multiple Safety Managers and supporting the delivery of complex engineering and construction activities across the project. The role will provide exposure to a broad range of disciplines, including M&E fit-out, civils, HVDC and renewable energy infrastructure, making this an excellent opportunity for an EHS professional with experience across large-scale, safety-critical projects. The successful candidate will be expected to take a hands-on and consultative approach to HSE, working closely with site teams, contractors and other stakeholders to improve standards and promote a strong safety culture. Key Responsibilities Provide day-to-day EHS support and guidance to site teams and project stakeholders Engage directly with site teams and contractors to promote high standards of health, safety and environmental performance Conduct site inspections, audits and observations, identifying risks and opportunities for improvement Review and provide guidance on RAMS and safe systems of work Support the implementation of EHS procedures, initiatives and best practices Monitor contractor compliance and work collaboratively to address areas for improvement Participate in safety meetings, briefings and toolbox talks Build strong relationships with project teams, contractors and wider stakeholders Provide practical, consultative advice rather than simply focusing on policy and process Support the project team in maintaining a strong and proactive safety culture Requirements Proven experience as an EHS/HSE Advisor within large-scale construction, infrastructure or energy projects Experience across multiple engineering disciplines, particularly M&E fit-out and/or civils Experience working on complex or safety-critical infrastructure projects NEBOSH qualification CSCS card Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with site teams and stakeholders Practical, hands-on approach to EHS with a focus on improving standards and behaviours Comfortable working in a fast-paced, large project environment This is a long-term opportunity on a major UK energy infrastructure programme, with an initial contract through to the end of the year and the expectation of ongoing annual renewals as the project progresses. P&C Test Engineer Location: Newcastle, United Kingdom Rate: 78 - 85 per hour Start date: ASAP, August 2026 Duration: 3 months Working hours: 37 hours per week (Monday - Friday), with flexibility around start/finish times Key words: P&C Test Engineer, Protection & Control, Protection Testing, Omicron, SIPROTEC 5, Reyrolle, GE/Alstom, HV Substations Turner Lovell are recruiting an experienced P&C Test Engineer to join a specialist engineering team based in Newcastle for an initial 3-month contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for protection and control testing within a factory environment, working on control and protection panels and associated equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced test engineer with a strong background in secondary protection testing to join a specialist team working on complex high-voltage equipment and systems. You will initially work alongside experienced engineers who will provide guidance and set work packages, with the expectation that you will become self-sufficient and take ownership of your testing activities. Duties: Carry out protection and control testing on HV substation protection and control panels. Perform secondary protection testing using Omicron test equipment . Test and verify protection devices, control equipment and associated systems. Work from and interpret HV substation protection and control schematics. Carry out testing on complete control and protection panels, rather than solely test racks. Test and troubleshoot protection and control devices, including occasional control device testing. Work with equipment including SIPROTEC 5 and Reyrolle devices, with experience of GE/Alstom equipment also beneficial. Support testing involving HMI and IEC 61850 protocol systems. Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all testing is completed accurately and to the required standards. Work collaboratively with specialist engineers and wider project teams to resolve technical issues and deliver testing activities to programme. Requirements: Minimum 5 years' industry experience in protection and control testing or a similar secondary protection testing role. Proficient in the use of Omicron test equipment. Experience testing control and protection panels, not just test racks. Good understanding of HV substation protection and control schematics and panel wiring. Familiarity with SIPROTEC 5 and Reyrolle protection devices. Familiarity with IEC 61850 protocols and HMI systems. Health and Safety Passport or equivalent required.
