Maintenance Engineer Permanent Full Time 40 hours per week (any 5 of 7 days) Salary: £38,500 £41,334 per annum Overview We are seeking a multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team in a state-of-the-art nutraceutical manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in both electrical and mechanical maintenance will ensure the smooth running of advanced production and packaging lines. Youll work with a variety of machinery, diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, and performing preventative maintenance to minimise downtime and keep operations running efficiently. Working Pattern Variable shifts: 06 30 10 30 14 30 8.5 hours per day (including a 30-minute unpaid break) Any 5 working days from 7 Key Responsibilities Equipment Care & Repairs Carry out routine servicing and reactive repairs on production machinery. Dismantle, clean, replace worn parts, and reassemble equipment. Use electrical and mechanical skills to fault-find and restore machines quickly. Preventative Maintenance Perform planned maintenance checks to maximise efficiency. Identify wear-and-tear issues before they escalate into breakdowns. Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting Respond promptly to breakdowns using diagnostic tools and technical drawings. Resolve faults under pressure while maintaining safety and quality standards. Collaboration & Communication Work closely with production teams to minimise disruption during maintenance. Provide detailed shift handovers with updates on repairs, fixes, and future needs. Compliance & Standards Ensure all maintenance work meets health, safety, hygiene, and quality standards. Support audits and maintain accurate logs, job cards, and inventory records. Continuous Improvement Suggest and implement reliability, efficiency, and safety improvements. Support new product and process trials with engineers and technical teams.
