Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Electrical Bias) Location: Hinckley Pay Rate: £14.00 per hour Contract: Ongoing Temporary Hours: Monday - Thursday 7:30am - 4:00pm Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm We are currently recruiting for a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join a well-established automotive manufacturer. This is an ongoing temporary position offering stable hours and the opportunity to work across a wide range of specialist machinery and equipment. The Role This is a varied, hands-on maintenance position where no two days are the same. You will play a key role in keeping production running smoothly by carrying out both reactive and planned maintenance across the site. While this role has a strong electrical bias (ideally suited to someone who has trained as an electrician), you will also be expected to assist with mechanical repairs and general site maintenance tasks. Key Responsibilities • Electrical fault finding, repair and installation work • Maintenance and repair of production machinery including presses, CNC machines, sewing machinery and upholstery equipment • Mechanical maintenance and troubleshooting • General site maintenance including plumbing and basic carpentry tasks • Supporting planned preventative maintenance schedules • Working closely with the site team to resolve breakdowns efficiently • Contributing ideas for continuous improvement • Working independently when required and taking ownership of tasks About You • Electrical background essential - ideally apprenticeship-trained electrician • Experience in manufacturing or industrial maintenance preferred • Comfortable working on a variety of machinery and mechanical systems • Willing to turn your hand to general maintenance tasks beyond your core trade • Proactive, practical and solution-focused • Able to work both independently and as part of a small team • Good communication skills and a collaborative approach What's on Offer • £14.00 per hour • Ongoing temporary contract • Early finish every Friday • Opportunity to work within a diverse and dynamic manufacturing environment • Exposure to both automotive and aerospace production equipment If you're a hands-on maintenance professional with strong electrical skills and a flexible, team-focused approach, we'd love to hear from you.
