Stores Person Location: Kintore, Aberdeenshire Sector: Engineering / Industrial Operations Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary : £12.50 £13.00 per hour The Role Activus Recruitment is supporting a well-established engineering business in the Kintore area with the recruitment of a Stores Person to support their operational and assembly teams. This is a hands-on role responsible for the receipt, storage, control, and dispatch of materials, components, and finished goods. The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring smooth warehouse operations, accurate stock control, and timely supply to internal departments, all while maintaining high standards of safety and organisation. This is a safety-critical role and would suit someone with previous stores or warehouse experience who takes pride in accuracy, organisation, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Receive incoming goods in line with company procedures, including safe loading and unloading Check deliveries for accuracy against purchase orders and delivery notes, resolving discrepancies where required Correctly label and tag all incoming stock to ensure full traceability Record all stock movements accurately and in a timely manner using internal systems Liaise closely with the Assembly Supervisor to meet daily production and material requirements Pick, prepare, and load customer orders, ensuring correct documentation and safe handling Carry out stock takes and cycle counts, reporting discrepancies and supporting investigations Maintain a clean, organised, and safe stores environment at all times Support general day-to-day warehouse and operational activities as required Comply fully with Health & Safety policies and procedures and actively contribute to a positive safety culture Experience & Knowledge Previous experience in a stores or warehouse-based role Good working knowledge of Health & Safety practices Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment Skills & Competencies Good literacy and numeracy skills High attention to detail and accuracy Ability to work to tight deadlines in a safe and organised manner Capable of working independently as well as part of a team Willingness and ability to learn new skills Qualifications Forklift licence preferred but not essential Full UK driving licence Personal Attributes Reliable, enthusiastic, and committed Proactive self-starter with a strong work ethic Comfortable working on own initiative and supporting wider team objectives
