A school in Gainsborough, who cater for students with social emotional and mental health needs are expanding! Due to increased student numbers, i am currently recruiting for 7 Behaviour Support Assistants to join them over the course of the next two months. I have immediate starts and January starts available. The children at the school are some of the most vulnerable in the county, have had adverse childhood experiences and can be dysregulated at times. This role requires a high leval of empathy, resilience and patience. Your main duties would be to help the children regulate their emotions and access their learning. At times, the children can display physical behaviour, so prior experience in this type of environment is essential, although we have also seen succesful placements in the past from individuals with experience of working in the miltary, the police force, in prisons and other uniformed public services. This is a temp to perm contract and the school are ideally looking for individuals who would be interested in signing onto a permenant contract after a minimum 12 weeks of working through Milk Education. The working hours are 08:30 to 16:30 - Monday to Wednesday and 08;30 -15:00 on Thursdays and Fridays. Please note, there are no part time contracts available and this is a role which requires a high level of attendance , monday to friday, to create a consistent environment for the children attending the school. For more information, or to arrange to go for an informal tour of the school, please call Poppy on (phone number removed) or submit your CV.
