Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Import person for a well established niche sector Freight Forwarder that deals with high value goods. The company is based in Colnbrook area. Key Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for managing the full import process for a shipment, from start to finish Raising job files and inputting data into FM3 Complete day to day import documentation Deal with all aspects of customs entry declarations Co-ordinate with customs for clearance Manage customs entry exceptions Develop effective relationships with customers for a professional and efficient service Communicating with clients regarding consignment progress Book appropriate transport Develop new business sales Support and cover export processes Communicating with sales and operations team throughout the day Provide administration assistance to sales team Provide assistance throughout the business as and when required Experience/Skills required Three years+ experience of import customs entries Good knowledge of CPC codes & customs tariff Ability to calculate Duty & VAT cost for individual shipments Some experience of completing import and export entries Experience using ASM Sequoia Able to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and organisation skills Knowledge of the shipping process surrounding Brexit - an advantage but not mandatory NCTS knowledge - great advantage Experience using FMS (not essential as training will be given) Import knowledge of TA and bonded warehouse clearances As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK. To provide both internal and external customers with excellent customer service when dealing with them in any situation • To deal with internal and external customer queries in a timely and efficient manner. • Work with local service providers worldwide to establish the optimum transport solution - Express Air, Hand carry or Road • To always provide a high level of customer service whilst ensuring compliance and performance targets are met in line with company processes and procedures. • Establishing the best transport solution, Express Air, Charter, Hand carry or Road • Complete Customs checks • Providing accurate complex quotations and gaining 3rd party costings • Taking booking details, arranging collections/deliveries • Tracing and tracking of all shipments and keeping customers up to date with a pro-active mentality. • Support 24/7/365 operations and service delivery Time Critical Operations & Service Delivery Accountabilities Key activities Customer • To act as the first point of contact for all internal and external customers contacting Time Critical Stakeholder • Deal with all internal and external customers visiting the Service Centre in a professional manner. • Responding to Problem Pieces and ensure redistribution is arranged in accordance with required standards Represent the business in a professional and efficient manner to increase customer satisfaction.
