Responsibilities Shipment Coordination:- Manage full operational control of export shipments from booking through to final departure. Arrange collections, liaise with hauliers, carriers, and warehouse teams. Track and monitor cargo to ensure timely movement and proactively resolve delays. Documentation:- Prepare and issue all required export documents including: HAWB / MAWB Bills of Lading Commercial invoices & packing lists Ensure all documentation meets customer, carrier, and regulatory requirements. Customs Compliance:- Complete and submit export declarations Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations, incoterms, and export controls (e.g., embargoes, dual-use goods). Maintain accurate audit trails and job file compliance. Communication & Coordination:- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, suppliers, and overseas agents. Provide proactive updates on shipment status, delays, and documentation requirements. Build strong working relationships with airlines, shipping lines, and transport partners. Operational & Financial Administration:- Maintain accurate job costing and ensure profitability of shipments. Check, process, and approve supplier and carrier invoices. Ensure all job files are closed out correctly and timely. Freightserve recruitment are looking for a AOG Operator to work Monday - Friday 9am - 6pm for a well-established Freight Forwarder. The company is based in the West Drayton, Middlesex area. The Opportunity The Operations Coordinator will be responsible for completing shipments from start to finish within the AOG Operations team, ensuring excellent customer service at all times. This role plays a key part in the import process, managing documentation, liaising with suppliers, and ensuring compliance with customs regulations while providing timely support to customers.? Key Role Accountabilities: As an Operations Coordinator, you will: Handle import / export processes from quotation to shipment completion, ensuring cost-effective and timely solutions for customers. Manage all documentation for import / export activities, including customs entries and delivery instructions, in line with compliance requirements. Provide excellent customer service by responding to emails and calls promptly, tracking shipments, and addressing inquiries. Ensure accurate record-keeping, billing within KPIs, and maintaining customer data in the company system. Ensure compliance with all statutory aviation requirements, health and safety policies, and Quality Management System. Provide timely and accurate quotations using Cargowise, converting them into live jobs and following up to secure business.? Required Experience:- Thrives in a fast-paced, customer-driven environment. Has strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates a solid understanding of UK customs law and procedures. Has experience with Customs Declaration Service and knowledge of Cargowise (preferred). Is proficient with Microsoft Office tools such as Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ideally has Dangerous Goods compliance certification. Can work independently, using their initiative to assess data and propose solutions. ? Freightserve recruitment are looking for an Import Air Operator for a well-established Freight Forwarder based in the Colnbrook, Berkshire area. RESPONSIBILITIES: Processes shipments Air /ocean/ Road Completing all relevant Import / Export paperwork, entering console data. Completing HM Customs paperwork depending on mode of transport. Completing HAWB's, MAWB's and IATA forms. Dealing with customer queries. Arranging collections and deliveries of freight with haulage companies. Providing Air /Road / Ocean quotations to customer. Negotiating ad hoc rates with suppliers. Invoicing shipments and keying off of supplier's invoices. May have responsibility for ensuring sufficient stationery is available for departmental needs Eq, airwaybills and ocean bills . Other duties as assigned by Manager/ Supervisor KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:- Experience of consolidations, HAWBs/MAWBs and IATA shipment procedures (essential); Customs procedures as well as Inward & Outward Processing Reliefs (essential); MS Office (WORD, OUTLOOK, EXCEL) Work on own initiative; Tactfully handle customers and their queries; Good communication skills essential Must be prepared to work shifts (including overtime as and when needed) Must be prepared to be on call/call out if there is a need to Able to work as a team Working hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5.30pm As an agency we are fast becoming the number one Freight specialist in the UK.
