No two days the same: One day you're installing a new instrument, the next you're diagnosing a tricky fault or talking a customer through best practice. There's plenty of support from the in-house service team when you need it, but you won't be micromanaged. What you'll do as the Field Service Engineer: Install, maintain and repair analytical instrumentation at customer sites, working hands-on with hardware, software and applications. Diagnose and resolve faults using a logical approach, with remote support from colleagues when you need it. Keep customers ahead of problems by advising on best practice to prevent unplanned visits. Write up clear service reports in the company CRM after each visit and manage your own spare-parts inventory. Spot opportunities to help customers with additional instruments, consumables or training, and flag them to the team.
