Role Overview A newly created opportunity for a Senior Finance Analyst to support corporate development activity within a leading media organisation. The role will focus on business partnering, financial modelling and strategic analysis to drive growth for the business. Key Responsibilities Partner with senior stakeholders to provide commercial insight and decision support. Support M&A and corporate finance activity, including financial modelling, valuations, due diligence and investment appraisal. Deliver robust budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis. Produce clear monthly reporting, highlighting risks and opportunities. Evaluate new business initiatives and revenue diversification projects. Candidate Profile ACA/CA qualified (audit-trained preferred), ideally with 1-2 years PQE but also open to candidate straight from audit. Background in corporate finance or a role with strong M&A exposure. Strong financial modelling skills and solid understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cashflow. Interim Financial Controller, PE backed Media business, London, £600-£800pd doe, intial 6 month contract. Altum Consulting are partnering with a private equity-backed business headquartered in London to appoint an experienced Financial Controller on an initial 6-month contract. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring immediate impact and strong technical expertise. This role will suit a technically strong, delivery-focused Financial Controller who understands what "good" looks like in a PE-backed or large-scale environment and can execute with pace and precision across M&A activity. Key Responsibilities: Take ownership of financial control across UK entities Lead and manage a robust month-end close process Ensure strong governance and controls are embedded during system changes/M&A activity Ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements under IFRS Oversee full balance sheet ownership, including opening and closing balances Drive improvements in the quality and integrity of balance sheet reconciliations Lead consolidation activities, including a significant intercompany reconciliation and clean-up programme Implement and document clear accountability across the finance function Drive process improvements to enhance efficiency, controls and reporting timelines Support ERP transition from Microsoft Dynamics 365 to NetSuite Support international operations, including occasional travel You'll be/have: Qualified Accountant with substantial experience in a Financial Controller position in a private equity-backed or large, complex business Strong technical accounting expertise, particularly IFRS Strong balance sheet control experience, including opening/closing processes ERP implementation/transition experience (experience with Dynamics 365 and/or NetSuite preferred) A hands-on, pragmatic approach with the ability to deliver at pace during M&A activity Strong stakeholder management skills For further information on this new role please contact Jen McMurray on the attached details. Business Process Specialist (Finance) Location: Remote / London Hybrid (Tech Sector) Day Rate: c. £450 per day Start Date: Immediate The Role Our client is a fast-growing tech firm currently scaling their finance function. They need a Business Process Specialist to support the Head of Accounting Ops in streamlining and maturing their internal workflows. We are looking for an implementer, someone who is comfortable getting into the detail of a process and actually delivering the change, rather than just advising on it. Focus Areas The priority for the first few months will be the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) cycle. Once those processes are stabilized and efficient, the remit will expand into Record-to-Report (R2R) and other broader financial operations. Key Responsibilities Audit existing P2P workflows to identify and resolve bottlenecks. Design and implement scalable processes that keep pace with the company's growth. Work closely with the Head of Accounting Ops to ensure all financial processes are robust and compliant. Manage the transition from manual workarounds to automated, repeatable solutions. Requirements Proven Experience: You must have a strong background in financial process improvement, specifically within P2P and R2R. Delivery-Led: A track record of moving projects from the "mapping" stage through to full implementation. Availability: This is an urgent requirement.
