Environmental Advisor - £45,000-£50,000 + £5,000 Car Allowance + Package - Infrastructure / Water Scotland ID: 11629 Are you an Environmental Advisor looking for a role where you can take ownership across major infrastructure projects and work closely with operational teams on live construction sites? Principal People are working with a leading infrastructure contractor to recruit an Environmental Advisor to support a long-term water framework across Scotland. This is a hybrid role covering multiple infrastructure projects, with a strong focus on practical site support, environmental compliance, and stakeholder engagement across live civils and utilities works. This position will support the HSEQ function across a portfolio of water infrastructure projects including mains replacement, distribution network upgrades, reservoir works, and wider utilities projects. The business is looking for an experienced, site-ready Environmental Advisor who can operate independently and confidently engage with operational teams, regulators, and supply chain partners from day one. Salary up to £50,000 Company Car / £5,000 Car Allowance + Mileage Variable Pension Scheme up to 13% 28 Days Annual Leave + Bank Holidays (With option to buy more) Private Medical (With option to add family) CPD, Development & Progression Support Long-term secured work within the UK water and infrastructure sector What you will be doing: Providing environmental compliance support across live infrastructure and construction projects Supporting the implementation of the environmental and HS&E strategy across the framework Working closely with operational teams to promote a positive environmental culture Conducting environmental inspections, audits, and ISO 14001 compliance reviews Managing environmental risks and supporting mitigation measures across projects Supporting waste management compliance and environmental performance monitoring Liaising with regulators, environmental authorities, clients, and supply chain partners Investigating environmental incidents and non-conformities, identifying root causes and corrective actions Delivering environmental training, awareness sessions, and best practice guidance Producing environmental reports and supporting continual improvement initiatives across the framework What they are looking for: Environmental Qualification or related Degree Level Qualifications IEMA membership or working towards would be advantageous Experience in an Environmental role within construction, utilities, infrastructure, water, power, or civils. Role: ISO Consultant Trainer Location: Field-Based Field-Based Scotland & Northern England Salary: £60,000 Permanent role We re looking for an experienced ISO Consultant / Trainer to join a specialist management systems consultancy. This is an opportunity to take ownership of a varied portfolio of client projects, with a particular focus on ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 , while also developing or expanding your training delivery experience. You ll manage your own client assignments and have the autonomy to take ownership of projects from initial gap analysis through to implementation, internal auditing and certification preparation. Alongside consultancy, you ll also have the opportunity to deliver management systems and auditing training, including public, in-house and online courses. This is not a purely desk-based compliance role. You ll be out with clients, building relationships, understanding how their businesses operate and helping them create management systems that genuinely add value. The ISO Consult Trainer will: Your core focus will be: ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems ISO 27001 Information Security Management Systems Delivering ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 consultancy. Conducting gap analyses, internal audits and certification preparation. Managing client relationships and consultancy projects. Turning complex ISO requirements into practical business solutions. Supporting and delivering ISO and auditing training. The Consultant /trainer will have: This is a role for an experienced consultant, practical knowledge of both ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 is essential . You'll need: Strong hands-on experience with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 . Previous ISO consultancy experience. Experience supporting organisations with implementation, auditing and certification. Excellent communication and client relationship skills. The confidence to manage projects independently. A practical, commercial approach to consultancy. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel. Experience with ISO 14001, ISO 45001 or CQI/IRCA auditing qualifications would be an advantage. Location & Travel This is a field-based role , with regular travel to client sites. Most travel will typically be within approximately three hours of the company's Cumbernauld office , making this an excellent opportunity for someone based within reasonable travelling distance of Central Scotland or Northern England . We are currently working exclusively with a leading events organisation to recruit a new Events Safety Advisor to the growing Health and Safety team. The focus of this position is to ensure events uphold the highest safety standards, working alongside and supporting internal event management teams as well as external customers. Reporting to the Senior Health and Safety Manager, you will be part of a dedicated and experienced team and have the pleasure of working with global brands and businesses on hundreds of world class events throughout the year.
