The Ideal Candidate Will Have: Significant experience in musical direction and teaching singing within a vocational musical theatre setting. A strong understanding of musical theatre repertoire and vocal pedagogy. Excellent communication, organisation, and team-working skills. A degree in musical theatre or equivalent professional experience. Qualified Teacher Status (desirable - the School is supportive of those working towards QTS). Experience working with young people in an educational or training context. We are seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and proactive Learning Mentor and Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our Additional Educational Needs (AEN) team. Working closely with students aged 14-19 in a vibrant arts-based secondary and post-16 setting, you'll help young people overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential - both academically and personally. We are looking for an enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join our well-established and growing AEN team. The BRIT School is looking for a dynamic and innovative LSA to provide individual and in-class support for learning and personal organisation for students aged 14 - 19. This role requires someone who is highly motivated, with excellent communication skills. This is an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact on the students with Additional Educational Needs (AEN) across the school. The post will support students of different ages and levels of need and will include responsibility for supporting Post 16 students with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP) as they work through their UAL qualifications. Experience of work as an LSA or Mentor is an advantage. The successful applicant will be organised, friendly, flexible and calm under pressure. Our counselling service is expanding and we are pleased to be able to offer new placements for counsellors wanting to work with young people who study in a flourishing and supportive environment. The BRIT School is a performing and technical arts college based in Selhurst for 14 -19yr olds. The well-established counselling service operates from Monday to Thursday during term-time with a team comprising of both qualified and trainee counsellors who come from a range of theoretical modalities. We are particularly keen to hear from those in the Global Majority and LGBTQI communities.
