The Opportunity We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Site Manager (Building Services) to join the operational team on a mechanical installation & upgrade (£9 million M&E) at a hospital incorporating de-steaming, heat pumps, boiler house replacement etc. Our client is one of the UK's leading contractors within the renewable energy sector This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking organisation where your expertise will directly contribute to impactful, environmentally-conscious energy solutions. Key Responsibilities Oversee the mechanical installation from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope. Maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, sub-contractors, trades etc. ensuring communication is clear, responsive, and professional throughout the project lifecycle. Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors to ensure quality standards and compliance. Monitor project progress, address challenges proactively, and ensure all reporting and documentation is maintained accurately. Ensure health, safety, and environmental standards are upheld across all stages of the project. About You Proven experience as a Mechanical Site Manager within building services or the renewable energy sector. Demonstrated success in delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget. Strong understanding of mechanical systems and building services. Some electrical awareness is a plus. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust. Detail-oriented, with exceptional problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset. The Client We are recruiting for our client who are a major Tier 1 M&E contractor and they require an experienced Commercial Manager with an FM background. Working across a variety of sectors that include residential, defence and leisure and projects, fire & security and service engineering, they are very effective at what they do and enjoy a multi million pound turnover and impressive profit margins. The Role and its Responsibilities Accountability for lifecycle of projects Smooth running of contracts Risk minimisation Full accountability for profitability, forecasts, variations Reviewing of contracts Team motivation Working closely with clients Manage subcontractors Problem solving Relationship building Meetings Site visits Safety management Reporting to board The Individual You should be a motivated candidate who can drive the commercial plans and performance of projects. A successful candidate should be able to problem solve along the timespan of projects and should have relevant experience from within an FM M&E background in a managerial role. The successful candidate will be comfortable in a client facing role and confident dealing at a senior management level. Skills and Qualifications Relevant industry qualifications Experience at working for a Tier 1 M&E contractor on high value projects Salary and Package The client is offering a fantastic remuneration package of £70 - £80K for the FM Commercial Manager role along with company benefits and a car / allowance.
