We are seeking a Marketing and Events Coordinator to play a key role in planning and delivering a varied programme of student recruitment, engagement and institutional events. This is a varied and hands-on role offering the opportunity to work across online and in-person events. As the Marketing and Events Coordinator, you will coordinate activity from initial planning through to post-event evaluation, working collaboratively with colleagues across Marketing, Enrolment, Academic and Student Support, as well as external suppliers, speakers and stakeholders. Alongside event delivery, you will provide marketing and administrative support, including helping to maintain social media and wider marketing activity during a period of team transition. The successful candidate will be highly organised, flexible and enjoy bringing people, projects and ideas together. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the prospective and current student experience and help showcase the organisation, courses and community. This is a full-time, temporary role to start as soon as possible, for an initial 6 months. The working hours are 36.5 hours per week, and some evenings/weekends will be required. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Event Planning and Delivery Plan, coordinate and deliver a varied programme of online and in-person events, ensuring an organised and positive experience for attendees, speakers and stakeholders. Coordinate internal and external stakeholders, including academic colleagues, speakers, students, ambassadors, contributors and professional services teams. Manage end-to-end event administration and logistics, including CRM setup, registrations, venues, suppliers, catering, event resources, presentation materials, signage and event assets. Develop event communications, including invitations, registration information, attendee correspondence, website content, speaker briefings and promotional materials. Provide on-the-day event management and support, including technical assistance, event setup and de-rig, attendee management, speaker support and chairing where required. Manage post-event activity, including follow-up communications, content uploads, attendance monitoring, reporting and evaluation. Support marketing, recruitment and student engagement objectives through the promotion and development of events, courses and opportunities. Track and maintain merchandise and marketing collateral for public-facing events. Marketing, Content and Administrative Support Support the creation, scheduling and publishing of organic social media content across key platforms. Draft social media copy and coordinate content approvals with colleagues. Assist in promoting courses, events, student stories and institutional activities through organic channels. Monitor engagement and identify opportunities to amplify content and event promotion. Monitor social media comments and escalate issues where necessary. Raise purchase orders and support marketing finance processes. Maintain expenditure, purchase order and budget tracking documents. Monitor and manage the Marketing team inbox, responding to enquiries or directing them appropriately. Assist with maintaining marketing records, databases and reporting documents. Coordinate the ordering and stock management of promotional merchandise and marketing materials. Provide administrative support for marketing campaigns, projects and departmental activities. PERSON SPECIFICATION Excellent organisational and project coordination skills. The ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Experience coordinating events, projects or activities. Strong administrative skills and confidence managing processes and records. Experience using Microsoft Office applications and digital systems. The ability to build positive working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
