Civils Supervisor Location: Predominately site based, however there will be some time spent at our office in Knowsley, L34 9ET, Liverpool. Salary: up to £42,000 (DOE) + Company Van & further benefits Contract: Full time, Permanent. Hours: 40 Hours (8am - 5pm). About the Role and what you will be doing: Managing and planning the day-to-day civil works supporting the Liverpool office. This role will be overseeing our day-to-day civils operations and subcontractors ensuring that works are delivered to schedule. Responsible for day-to-day site management of projects, material and resource planning for the delivery of works, budgetary control and resource supervision to ensure projects are delivered to agreed financial limits and meet Clients expectations in relation to programme, customer service requirements and quality. Controls project progress and work standards, ensuring that safe working practices are followed and assets are built to the adopting network operator s specifications. Address and resolve problems and complaints ensuring a pro-active approach is maintained to build successful working relationships with all IQA Clients and both internal and external stakeholders. Your responsibilities will include: • To ensure a consistently high standard of work is produced in accordance with specification and quality standards through regular quality inspections with sub-contractors. • Direct and supervise day to day operations of sub-contractors ensuring appliance of common operational procedures. • Ensure material requisitions are issued in adequate time to achieve the Construction Programme. • Schedule, control and monitor all plant and materials on a weekly basis. • Liaise with the Project management team regarding cost control, waste management, variations and confirmation of instructions, including daily costs of labour, material, sub-contractors. • Carry out safety inspections and fulfilling the health, safety and welfare responsibilities as detailed in the Company s Policy • Ensure all team members conform to instructions stated in Method Statements and Risk Assessments. • Ensure that accidents and near misses are suitably reported, recorded and investigated, and that remedial action is carried out promptly. • Control all aspects of traffic management. • Maintain quality and environmental control procedures in accordance with ISO 9001and ISO 14001. • Control and monitor site waste in accordance with the Company s Site Waste Minimisation and Management policy. About the Role: We are currently looking to recruit a Graduate to provide assistance and support to the Project Managers and Operations team on all matters relating to project management within OHL contracts. You will be required to undertake a number of tasks to assist with the smooth running of the projects and in return, you will be nurtured and developed to grow into a project management role. You will be required to undertake some financial elements of the role, such as managing project margins, ensuring profitability of project and overseeing general costings to projects. The role is full time, permanent and is Monday to Friday (8am to 5pm).
