Job description Cockermouth, Cumbria £13.76 per hour 40 hours per week / Start 4am-6am / Finish Midday to 3pm Shift pattern: Monday to Friday with Alternate Saturdays (2 days off a week) The Company: Our client, located near Cockermouth are looking to expand their current team with Delivery Drivers. Supplying some of the best fresh produce around, they deliver to many local restaurants and hotels, supplying their days meat, fruit and veg, and even work with well known football clubs further afield. About the Role: Immediate Start- As a delivery driver, you will work to a set route, only managing a small number of drops per day which could take you around the Lake District, driving through some of the most beautiful countryside! You will have the opportunity to build relationships with your customers, maintaining the high customer service levels this company have already achieved.Routes are pre-planned and can be easily followed via an electronic device, meaning you can enjoy your day and working to your own time schedule. Working hours do vary, but you can expect to start your route anywhere between 4am and 6am , with a general finish time between midday and 3pm . They operate on a Drop and Knock policy - once you're done, you'll clock off and still get paid! We are ideally looking for candidates who can work full time, Monday to Friday and an alternate Saturday. Requirements: Valid car driver's licence with no more than 3 points. About the Role: Immediate Start. Shifts begin at 5am, standard 8-9 hour shifts guaranteed, different number of drops every day - max 12, from the base in Cockermouth.You will be responsible for delivering fresh produce to other depots North and South of the country. Runs going to North East, Cumbria, West Coast, the furthest South depo is Preston. The role is operating with Box trailers, with the driver unloading with either cages or sack barrows, with both refrigerated and frozen goods.As a Class 2 & 7.5tn Driver, you will be an integral part of the business. We are looking for drivers with a 'can-do & friendly' attitude. You will be responsible for maintaining the security of the load and the condition of the vehicle. Requirements for a Class 2 & 7.5tn Driver include: All candidates must hold their Class 2 & 7.5tn licence. Will accept new passes but experience would be preferred. Valid in-date CPC & Tacho No more than 6 points on licence (licence checks will apply) No more than 12 Tacho infringements.
