We are seeking a Payroll & Accounts Assistant to join our client's friendly team in a small, welcoming office located in Newton Abbot. The atmosphere is relaxed, making it a great place to work. As a Payroll & Accounts Assistant, you should ideally have at least one year of payroll experience and be comfortable building relationships with clients, as you will often need to communicate with them to gather information necessary for processing their payrolls. Additionally, you will assist with accounts and tax preparation. No previous experience is required for this part of the role, but AAT studying/qualification is preferred, and full training will be provided. Payroll & Accounts Assistant key responsibilities: Processing and filing payroll for approximately 100 clients on a weekly, fortnightly, four-weekly, or monthly basis. Managing all aspects of payroll independently while meeting strict deadlines and resolving client queries in conjunction with HMRC as necessary Assisting with accounts and tax preparation when time allows Handling administrative tasks, including interacting with clients who come into the office and assisting with general duties as needed Are you the right fit for this team?
