Working with a progressive SME Developer who are establishing a new region in Brentwood and are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor. As this is early stages and you will be the sole point of contact for Commercial you will be given a range of responsibilities and act as the Surveyor/Buyer/Estimator/Head of Commercial. Some duties include: Prepare tender and contract documents Prepare and analyse costings for tenders Chair pre-order meetings with sub-contractors and Site Teams Produce and issue orders for work to sub-contractors Prepare budgets for all aspects of project construction Value completed work and arrange payments Pro-actively manage sub-contractor accounts Procure new sub-contractors for tender opportunities Perform cost control for risk and value management Identify, analyse and develop responses to commercial risks Provide advice on contractual claim They are incredibly entrepeneurial, have some fantasitc names in the business to lead their growth strategy and can offer a unique role that will suit someone with ambition and desire to be a part of what is going to be one of the most successful, award winning Developers in the area.

The role will see you operate from their Hertfordshire region who have a number of schemes located across the Northern Home Counties and Essex. The role will suit someone looking to step up from Senior Technical Coordinator. Duties include: Working closely with the Head of Technical to ensure a smooth handover from the land/planning appraisal process Managing the detailed design and all other Technical aspects of development from this point on. Liaising with appointed consultants to discharge NHBC Building Control conditions Attending planning consultation events and arrange pre-start drawing check meetings with internal departments to arrange for any revisions to be made to the working drawing packs as necessary. As a Temporary Site Manager, you will support the Project Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of construction sites. Your responsibilities will include coordinating subcontractors, ensuring health and safety compliance, managing site documentation, and assisting in the delivery of projects on time and within budget.
