Person Specification Essential Qualifications NVQ in Welding or an equivalent recognised welding qualification. Time-served apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ Level 2 qualification. GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Mathematics at Grade C/Grade 4 or above. Desirable Qualifications NVQ Level 2 in Engineering Maintenance, Production Engineering or another relevant engineering discipline. Training in problem-solving techniques, root cause analysis and team working. Skills and Experience Strong welding and fabrication skills with the ability to produce work to a high standard. Ability to interpret technical drawings, written instructions and specifications. Experience working across multiple engineering disciplines or trades. Good problem-solving and fault-finding skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Good communication and teamwork skills.
