Work will include all aspects of IT administration, from desktop and end-user support to basic maintenance of servers and network devices/services. Additionally, the role holder will help implement and maintain ISO 27001 controls and processes and work to improve our informatics security and infrastructure. Carry out all aspects of IT administration from desktop and end user support to basic maintenance of servers and network devices /services. Ensure that the IT ServiceDesk system is kept up to date and is accurate at all times, with all tickets logged and updated to ensure we maintain our internal and external compliance requirements. Proactively monitor systems, raising alerts where necessary to ensure that the appropriate member of the team is made aware to investigate potential issues. Work with the team and Director of Informatics/Head of Infrastructure to ensure that the company s compliance with various accreditations / certifications is maintained, including ISO 27001. Work alongside our third-party IT support providers to raise and manage higher-tier issues and projects. PERSON SPECIFICATION: Knowledge and experience in PC/laptop physical hardware set-up and maintenance. Knowledge and experience in desktop software configuration, including Windows 10/11, and working with OUs and Group Policies. Knowledge and experience in MS Office applications. Knowledge and experience of working with an IT ServiceDesk system, and knowledge of how important a tool this is. Knowledge of user onboarding / offboarding in a MS AD environment. Understanding of basic network technologies such as LAN, switch, wi-fi. Knowledge and experience in troubleshooting user issues, such as log on, printing, application (MS Office apps) etc. Working knowledge of IT security Minimum of 2 years experience working in a similar role.
