Very highly respected large size independent insurance broker looking to recruit an Account Handler to join it Commercial broking team. Excellent reputation in the market with a friendly professional culture. As Account Handler you will be required to retain an existing book of commercial clients and provide broking support for the Account Executives. You will develop relationships with existing and prospective commercial clients and insurers. The firm's clients typically pay six figure premiums, and cover a number of diverse client sectors. You will provide clients with professional service in line with company service levels and be able to work with the wider team. This may occasionally involve some accompaniment on client visits. Other tasks will involve remarketing renewals where required and making sure all documentation is accurate. Ideally you will have a strong background in Insurance Broking and ideally have a good understanding of cross class commercial insurances. Its also important you have a drive to succeed with excellent communications skills. Ability to manage clients effectively, and work closely with cross-functional teams including the Account Executives and Directors on larger cases is essential. As Commercial Account Handler, you will be working closely with Account Executives, to assist with some of their cases and deal with tasks such as query resolution, midterm changes to cover and undertake reviews for renewal business. You will provide broking and administrative support to the team and prepare renewal notices, policy documents and update new business documents. Ideally you will have had some prior experience in the commercial insurance sector. Crucially you will have the ability to deliver top quality client service and have a capability to build close relationships with clients and insurers with a professional approach. You will need to have keen attention to detail and strong organisational skills. Qualifications gained under the chartered insurance institute would be an advantage but not essential.
