4 month FTC opportunity for an experienced Business Analyst working as part of a team supporting around operational change and readiness as they prepare for significant systems transformation, roll out and go live. A background within financial services sector and awareness of FCA conduct rules e.g. banking, building society etc is ideally sought. UAT testing experience also ideal. Hybrid role with 2 days onsite and flexible, customer centric working approach Key skills experience sought: Identifying Business Needs: working with stakeholders and end users tounderstand their needs and identify business problems or opportunities. Requirements Gathering: Collects and documents detailed business requirements, ensuring that solutions meet the needs of the business. Facilitate workshops - As is/ To be Process Improvement: Analyses and maps current business processes and workflows to identify areas for improvement and recommend changes. Solution Design: Helps design and evaluate potential solutions, ensuring they align with business goals and requirements. Data Analysis: Analyses data to provide insights and support decision-making processes. Stakeholder Communication: Acts as a liaison between stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and understanding of project goals and progress. Project Management Support: Assists in project planning, monitoring, and execution to ensure successful delivery of solutions Testing & Business Readiness: Business test scenarios, test scripts, and acceptance criteria. Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT. Assist with defect triage, issue resolution, and retesting activities. Ensure operational teams are supported with appropriate process documentation and procedural guidance. Key skills and experience sought: Proven background within Business Analysis ideally to include 4+ years Business Analyst experience within the financial services sector e.g. banking, building society or similar organization Good understanding of data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL). Understanding of mortgage lending, savings products, and regulatory requirements in the financial sector. Experienced working in FCA regulated environment Proficient in process improvement techniques e.g. Lean / Six Sigma etc. Strong experience documenting business processes, standard operating procedures, and workflow diagrams. Experience creating business test scenarios, UAT scripts, and supporting testing activities. Understanding of system integrations, operational processes, and data flows. Ability to translate business problems into practical and scalable solutions. Strong analytical, documentation, and stakeholder management skills. Familiarity with tools such as Visio, JIRA, Confluence, monday, or similar platforms.

Nicholas Howard are delighted to be recruiting for a Service Desk Analyst. This role is fully site based and will require flexibility around working shift patterns once fully trained. Key Responsibilities: Work closely with team members to support daily operations and tasks. Help identify, prioritise, and respond to incidents and issues in a timely manner, following clear procedures. Use the service management tools to log and update incidents, ensuring information is accurate throughout the process. Monitor servers and systems to spot and respond to any issues, using the event management tools. Assist specialist teams with resolving technical problems. Follow set processes and guidelines to fix incidents and problems. Provide updates on ongoing incidents, keeping everyone informed. Contribute to updating knowledge articles, helping improve the service desk's efficiency. Help generate reports using data from the service management system. Support software rebuilds or deployments following system failures. Help with software configuration and deployment tasks. Occasionally support shift work and be flexible with shift coverage when needed. Assist the Senior Operations Engineer with various tasks, ensuring processes are followed and incidents are handled effectively. Work on improving service quality by reviewing incidents and making suggestions for improvements. Be proactive in learning new technical skills and knowledge from colleagues. Required Skills, Qualifications & Experience: Previous experience in customer-facing roles, ideally in technical support or service desk environments, demonstrating a willingness to help solve problems and improve customer satisfaction. Demonstrates a proactive approach to challenges and can adapt quickly to new situations and technologies. Enthusiasm to learn and grow within the IT field, with a willingness to take on new responsibilities and develop new skills. Ability to identify simple ways to improve current processes and a willingness to suggest improvements. Strong attention to detail with a growing ability to analyse and solve technical issues.
