The successful candidate will work in a team of clinicians, and alongside the Clinical Lead. You will be expected to deliver effective and responsive psychologically informed services, undertaking assessment and therapy within Ofsted registered residential services for children and young people up to the age of 18 years of age. You will be responsible for collaboratively developing interventions and offering consultation to support residential teams around the day-to-day care of the young people in our service. You will be responsible for direct work with the young people, offering assessment, formulation, and therapy interventions. Therapeutic interventions are based on comprehensive assessment and formulation and remains a dynamic understanding of the young person. Therapy itself may be discrete pieces of work (e.g., Therapeutic Life Story Work) or long term psychotherapy, depending on the individual child's identified needs. Main Duties and Responsibilities: To maintain standards and monitor the delivery of high quality, child centred therapeutic care to children and young people referred to our services in accordance with New Forest Care policies and procedures To liaise with internal and external professionals and family members as required Provide assessment, formulation and psychotherapeutic support to children and young people with lived experience of trauma and attachment challenges. Provide a specialist psychotherapeutic perspective in those children and young people we care for Offer a consultation and reflective practice service to staff teams working alongside our children Consult with and provide specialist guidance and training to the wider staff teams where appropriate Consult with and advise colleagues, both verbally and in written format, about the progress and emotional well-being of the children in our care Develop and maintain excellent communication links with the wider staff at New Forest Care and also with multi- agency professionals external to the organisation Be responsible for relevant routine data collection on work activities, and maintain a high standard of record keeping To carry out other duties as agreed with the Head of Clinical Services and their Deputies.
