Key Responsibilities Service, maintain and repair diesel generators and associated power generation equipment. Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults. Carry out engine servicing, repairs, strip-downs and rebuilds. Test generators and associated equipment to ensure they are safe and fully operational. Carry out inspections on equipment returning from hire and identify required repairs. Complete preventative maintenance and pre-delivery inspections. Fault-find on electrical systems, control panels and generator controls. Prepare equipment for customer deployment. Complete accurate service records and maintenance documentation. Work closely with the depot and operations teams to ensure equipment is available when required. Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment. Follow all company Health & Safety procedures and engineering standards. What We're Looking For We are particularly interested in engineers with previous experience working on: Diesel generators / gensets Power generation equipment Industrial engines Heavy plant and machinery Generator hire or rental equipment Construction plant Industrial mechanical/electrical equipment Marine or other diesel-engine environments Qualifications & Experience Relevant technical qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline . Strong practical experience working with generators, diesel engines or similar equipment. Good understanding of both mechanical and electrical systems. Experience diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs independently. Workshop, depot, plant or equipment maintenance experience. Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Willingness to relocate to Solihull, UK . Ability to meet the requirements for UK visa sponsorship .
