Role: Control System Engineer Location: Luton Salary: Up to 50,000 depending on experience My client is looking for a Control Systems Engineer will play a key role in delivering bespoke automation solutions for customer projects. The position covers the full lifecycle of a project, from early concept and system design through to software development, and on site commissioning support. The engineer will take responsibility for developing reliable, high performance control solutions across a range of industrial automation platforms. Responsibilities include: Manage automation projects from initial technical concept through to final handover Produce electrical and control system designs for automated machinery and equipment Develop and implement PLC, motion control, and HMI software to meet project specifications Support system integration, factory acceptance testing and on site commissioning. Work closely with commissioning and service teams to resolve any technical issues during installation Prepare clear technical documentation, including functional descriptions, test reports, and customer deliverables Ensure solutions comply with relevant standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations Skills and Experience: Proven experience in industrial automation or control systems engineering Working knowledge of PLC platforms such as Allen-Bradley and Siemens systems Experience with industrial robotics would be advantageous Solid understanding of electrical control system principles and modern manufacturing environments Knowledge of AutoCAD & and Eplan design packages Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK without restriction.
