Senior Delivery Manager 6 Month Engagement Manchester - Office based twice per week Day rate: Up to 550 per day Outside IR35 Role Overview The Senior Delivery Manager will manage the delivery of the fares and ticketing workstream within a rail integration programme, ensuring agreed customer, fares, and retail propositions are delivered. The role is responsible for workstream planning, governance, risk and dependency management, stakeholder coordination, reporting, and driving agreement to support delivery of the overall programme plan. Key Responsibilities Manage delivery of the fares and ticketing workstream in line with the programme plan. Own workstream planning, governance, and delivery against agreed timescales and budgets. Manage risks, dependencies, issues, and key decisions, escalating through agreed governance. Lead weekly stand-ups, reviews, and stakeholder workshops, ensuring clear actions and accountability. Produce and present workstream reports and updates for programme forums. Maintain accurate programme documentation and act as the main point of contact for the workstream. Essential Skills & Experience Proven experience leading complex transport or public-sector programmes, ideally within fares, ticketing, retail, or rail integration. Strong knowledge of fares, ticketing systems, retail channels, and customer propositions. Experience managing multiple stakeholders and suppliers. Experience working on Card payments/Retail payment projects Strong programme and workstream management skills, including planning, governance, and risk management. Proven ability to produce clear reporting, lead workshops, and facilitate reviews. Able to drive consensus across organisations with differing priorities. Highly organised with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
