The role is mostly working within the Cheshire/North West region with only very occasional further travel. We are seeking a skilled and experienced HVAC Engineer to join our team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an engineer who is confident working on air conditioning systems, including VRV/VRF systems. The position is a paid, permanent role and is suitable for experienced engineers with proven knowledge of fault-finding, diagnosing, maintaining and repairing HVAC systems must also be able to install split/multi split and VRF air conditioning systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, servicing, reactive repairs and installations where required. You must be able to work independently, identify faults accurately, recommend suitable repairs and complete works safely, efficiently and to a high standard. Experience working on chilled water systems would be beneficial, although not essential. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a key role in producing management accounts, analysing performance, supporting cash and stock management, and ensuring the accuracy of financial information across the business. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to all aspects of the finance function, including management accounting, purchase ledger, credit control, fixed assets, inventory, cash management and audit. What You'll Be Doing Management Accounting & Reporting Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting. Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations. Support budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting. Provide financial insight to operational teams to support decision-making. Contribute to continuous improvement across finance systems, controls and processes. Financial Transactions & Controls Process and maintain accurate financial transactions, including posting purchase invoices. Assist with credit control and supplier account management. Support cash management, banking activities and cash flow reporting. Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals and depreciation. Support external audits and year-end reporting requirements. Stock, Inventory & Margin Analysis Support stock accounting and inventory reconciliations. Assist with margin analysis and investigation of variances. Work closely with operational teams to ensure accurate stock and cost information. Essential Skills & Experience AAT qualified or studying towards ACCA/CIMA. Previous experience within a finance or accounting role. Strong Excel and analytical skills. Highly organised with excellent attention to detail. Positive, proactive approach with a willingness to support all areas of finance. Desirable Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA. Good working knowledge of Sage 200 and/or SAP . Experience within manufacturing, engineering or stock-based environments. Experience Experience supporting management accounts and financial reporting. Practical experience with journals, reconciliations and transactional finance. Exposure to stock, inventory or margin analysis beneficial.
