FINTEC recruit is seeking FEED Instrumentation Engineers for our client, a leader in analytical software technology for the Energy and Oil & Gas sectors to join their international pool of FEED Instrumentation Engineers. Product Training will be in Edinburgh, however the FEED Instrumentation Engineers, can be based at any UK location with a willingness to travel to global client sites, currently within UAE & US. Role Overview This is a flexible contracting opportunity that can be undertaken alongside other projects or rotational contracts. Assignments are scheduled with plenty of advance notice, allowing engineers to plan around existing commitments. You ll support installation, commissioning, and operator training on advanced instrumentation and analytical software systems. Assignments are primarily onshore at client sites, currently focused in the UAE and US, and usually last up to one week. Comprehensive training on company software products will be provided at the client s Edinburgh premises. Key Responsibilities Deliver installation, commissioning, and operator training at client sites. Provide high-quality technical support and customer engagement. Collaborate with global project teams. Travel to UK and international locations as required. Requirements Proven experience as a FEED Instrumentation Engineer in Oil & Gas or Energy. Flexibility to travel in the UK and overseas for short-term assignments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Right to work in the UK. Solid understanding of hardware principles, including digital and analogue circuits. Experience working with hardware debugging tools (oscilloscopes, logic analysers, etc.). Experience with standard communication protocols (UART, SPI, I2C, ETHERNET). Understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, UDP) and awareness of network security concepts.
