Axis CLC is seeking a Site Manager for our Walsall division, overseeing sites nationwide including Oswestry. You will lead on-site teams, ensure safety and regulatory compliance, and drive successful project delivery. Based in Walsall but travel to sites across the country is required. The Role To support our continued growth we are looking for a Site Manager to join our team working from our Walsall Division. This role will be covering sites across Oswestry, site base will be Walsall. Responsibilities Ensure the smooth operation of a designated site Ensure compliance with relevant Health & Safety Law and CDM Regulations Assist in the selection and formation of site personnel teams (including sub-contractors) as determined by the requirements of the designated site Supervise site personnel, work activities and resources to meet the requirements of the designated site Manage the site to ensure it complies with Legal and Statutory requirements Ensure control measures within risk and COSHH assessments are implemented and followed Manage the site to ensure each phase is handed over on the agreed date Maintain the trust and support of site personnel Oversee the site to ensure the client/customer care requirements and preferences are met Deal with client / customer queries and or communications professionally and efficiently About you Essential: CSCS Card, SMSTS Extensive experience of refurbishment projects in a number of sectors (Essential) Excellent communication skills Problem solving skills Strong decision making ability Ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet project deadlines Excellent time management and leadership skills Broad understanding of the construction industry A team player Proactive What We Offer Up to £21.50 per hour 25 days' annual leave + bank holidays Up to £2,000 colleague referral fee Long-service awards Perkbox - access to free coffees, cinema tickets, discounts and well being offers 1 paid volunteer day each year Ongoing training, support and opportunities for progression, we promote from within Location Based at Walsall however the nature of this role requires you to work at various locations across the country. You will service, repair and install domestic gas appliances and heating systems, and carry out general plumbing in occupied and void properties, maintaining safety and compliance. Working within secure defence environments, you will carry out a range of internal and external painting and decorating tasks, ensuring military accommodation and operational buildings are maintained to the highest standards while meeting quality, safety and compliance requirements. What You'll Deliver Carry out internal and external painting and decorating works across refurbishment, maintenance and fit out projects. Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling and priming prior to decoration. Apply paint, emulsion, gloss, stains and other decorative finishes to walls, ceilings, woodwork and metal surfaces. Carry out wallpaper removal and other associated decorating repairs where required. Ensure all works are completed to a high standard, on time and in line with health and safety requirements. Work independently or as part of a team while maintaining effective communication with supervisors, clients and other trades. Maintain tools, equipment and a clean, safe working environment. Deliver excellent customer service while working within occupied and secure MOD properties. About You NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Painting & Decorating (or equivalent), or time served experience. Proven experience in refurbishment, maintenance or responsive repairs (new build experience alone is not sufficient). Competent in all aspects of painting and decorating, including preparation and finishing. Full UK driving licence. Able to obtain and maintain the required Ministry of Defence security clearance. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high quality workmanship. Able to work independently and manage workloads effectively. Good understanding of health and safety procedures. Physical Requirements This role involves practical, hands on work and requires a good level of mobility and manual dexterity. You may at times be required to work at height, in confined spaces or on uneven ground, and to use a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively. You will work in secure defence environments, delivering high-quality workmanship and maintaining safety standards. You should hold NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry & Joinery (or time-served), have proven refurbishment experience, a valid UK driving licence and be able to obtain MOD security clearance.
