We're working alongside a facilities management company to help them find a Construction Manager for their 12 million project in the Bristol area. You would be overseeing all building works and heavy structural steel integration as well as direct specialist sub-contract packages while leading technical coordinaton with MEP designers and Civil & Structural Engineers to ensure safe, compliant, and on-schedule delivery. Key Responsibilities: Lead the end-to-end delivery of the 12M construction project, ensuring all building works are completed safely, to specification, and within the agreed budget and timeline. Oversee critical structural elements, with a heavy emphasis on the successful fabrication and erection of structural mezzanine floor steelworks. Continuously monitor project progress against the construction programme, identifying potential delays early and implementing mitigating actions. Procure, onboard, and manage specialist sub-contract packages (including steel erectors, cladding, and internal fit-out teams). Chair regular subcontractor progress meetings to drive productivity, resolve site conflicts, and maintain strict quality control. Ensure all subcontractors adhere to site logistics, method statements, and strict health & safety standards. Serve as the primary on-site conduit between the main contractor, MEP designers, and Civil & Structural Engineers. Lead regular design coordination workshops to ensure seamless structural, architectural, and MEP integration (managing structural loads, service voids, and plant space requirements). Manage the flow of technical information, reviewing and resolving technical queries (RFIs) to keep site operations running smoothly. Enforce rigorous quality assurance processes, ensuring all building works meet UK Building Regulations and industry standards. Champion health and safety on site, ensuring full compliance with CDM (Construction, Design and Management) regulations. Ensure all site records, inductions, and permits are accurately maintained. Requirements/Qualifications: MUST HAVE SC CLEARANCE Proven track record of managing multi-million-pound commercial/industrial construction projects as a Senior Site Manager, Project Manager, or Construction Manager. Strong background in structural works (particularly steel frames and mezzanine floors) alongside a solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems. Degree, HNC, or equivalent in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or Building Services.
