The role will provide support to the Executive Board of Directors and will holistically take control of the division, coupled with leading the business evolution. This will be successfully achieved through effective management and servicing of clients, a focus upon maintaining net margins and sustainable enlargement and a high level of staff satisfaction. The Role To direct the GI / SI business unit and division with a hands-on approach to all daily activities To develop and implement Strategic Plans for the business unit, ensuring that all goals are either achieved or bettered with an emphasis upon service delivery; and to effectively manage all activities with regard to expansion, growth, operations, financial and commercial, construction, staff, quality, health and safety and business planning. To act as the key focal point, steering and guiding the business forward, ensuring full stakeholder liaison and development, and moving the company ahead by increasing service levels and client focus. Working with the commercial and finance teams to ensure effective cash flow management Producing accurate management reports on time and working with all department heads Hold regular review meetings with the staff in developing a proactive focus upon quality, overheads, manpower, programming, organisation and delivery aspects To further develop the supply chain and sub-contractor partnering process where necessary to improve upon existing terms if possible To ensure a high level of teamwork and cohesion between all levels of staff To chair and direct regular meetings with staff to discuss progress as well as providing the directors with reports, operating policy and opportunities for work The Person Offer a proven track record in hands on leadership and management from within a ground investigation and site investigation contracting or consulting organisation Extensive experience within a variety of ground investigation and site investigation techniques and disciplines To have run operations, regions, business units or divisions with a diplomatic and pragmatic approach, coupled with a hands-on attitude to clients, sub-contractors and team management Possess first-hand experience of a divisional or business unit leadership / management and therefore able to demonstrate a tenacious, lead from the front approach to achieving set criteria and objectives, including growth and expansion Possess experience of a variety of multi-disciplined ground investigation and site investigation techniques Possess an excellent understanding of the associated management processes, coupled with the ability to lead and develop a business both technically and commercially Able to demonstrate a career of steady progression, climbing through the ranks in a structured manner with reputable organisations Good levels of experience at both pre and post contract stage A highly attractive basic salary plus bonus and an extensive benefits package is on offer for this Divisional Director role, along with security and career progression given the company has a clear and defined commitment to growth within this arena.
