We're looking for a talented HR Business Partner to join our People & Culture team at Butcombe. This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a high impact role supporting our operational leaders while shaping how we attract, develop, and grow great talent across the Group. This role is a 12-month fixed term maternity cover. Overview This role is an HR Business Partner supporting managers with practical, hands on people advice while leading the development, progression, and acquisition of talent across the business. You'll be ensuring our people have clear pathways to grow, thrive, and succeed, embedding a culture of continuous learning, values led leadership, and inclusive opportunity. The HRBP will strengthen succession planning, support recruitment for critical roles, and build strong internal and external talent pipelines that support the long term success of Butcombe. What you'll be doing As an HR Business Partner with a strong focus on talent, you'll provide hands on, practical HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You'll build trusted relationships, helping managers make confident people decisions while ensuring high standards and consistency in people management. You'll lead succession planning, identify and develop high potential employees, and work with leaders to create clear development pathways that support internal progression. The role manages our Talent Acquisition team to plan recruitment, build strong talent pipelines, and support the hiring of critical roles across the business. Alongside this, you'll ensure a high quality onboarding experience that helps new employees integrate quickly and succeed in their roles, champion inclusive talent practices, using data and insight to improve representation, strengthen workforce planning, and continuously enhance how we attract, develop, and retain great people across the business. Skills & Experience Experience working as an HR Business Partner or in a senior HR role supporting operational leaders. Strong experience in talent management, succession planning, and internal progression. Experience supporting recruitment for key roles and working closely with talent acquisition teams. Ability to build trusted relationships with managers while providing confident challenge and guidance. Skilled in identifying and developing high potential talent. Experience designing or supporting effective selection and assessment processes. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities at pace. Data driven approach to workforce planning and talent decisions. Practical, hands on approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking and operational delivery.
