What We're Looking For Degree, HND, or equivalent experience in Engineering, Computer Science, or another relevant technical discipline. Some experience of software or systems testing gained through industry, education, internships, or personal projects. Understanding of core testing principles, including test cases, defect reporting, regression testing, and test evidence. Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach. Clear written communication skills and the ability to produce accurate technical documentation. An interest in developing skills in test automation and modern engineering technologies. Comfortable working in both office/laboratory and outdoor test environments. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office, and the ability to quickly learn new tools. Desirable Skills ISTQB Foundation Certification (or a willingness to achieve it). Experience with Python, scripting, or automated testing tools. Familiarity with Jira or similar defect management platforms. Exposure to sensor technologies, RF, radar, autonomous systems, or other advanced engineering environments. Full UK driving licence. Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively across engineering and technical teams. Desirable Experience PostgreSQL administration. Containerised environments using Docker. Event-driven architectures or messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ. Experience supporting distributed or multi-site database deployments.
