Due to continued growth, we're now seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to strengthen our operational delivery and help shape the next phase of RED Optimal's development. The Opportunity Reporting directly to Steve Williams, Managing Director, you'll take ownership of day-to-day project management and operations - leading our network of subcontract installers to deliver exceptional quality across multiple sites. As RED Optimal continues to expand, this role also forms part of a longer-term succession plan, providing scope for the successful candidate to develop into a broader leadership position within the division. Key Responsibilities _ Project Management & Operations _ Take over day-to-day management of live projects following handover by Steve Williams Provide national coverage with willingness to travel to sites across the UK Prepare Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for all projects Liaise with RED Group teams to ensure coordination and programme alignment Work with Steve Williams on material ordering, procurement, and resourcing Procure and manage subcontract labour to meet project requirements Negotiate and agree subcontractor rates and variations Oversee subcontractor interim payment processing and sign-offs _ Safety & Compliance _ Ensure all installations meet current Building Safety and Fire Regulations Conduct regular safety inspections and close-out actions promptly Keep up to date with all relevant industry and regulatory standards _ Client Relationships _ Act as primary client contact post-handover Drive consistent service delivery excellence across all sites Maintain clear expectations on programme, quality, and safety What You'll Need _ Experience & Qualifications _ Proven experience in SFS installations (essential) Experience in drylining or partitions (beneficial) Track record in commercial project management and cost control SMSTS/SSSTS certification and valid CSCS card Experience managing subcontractor relationships _ Skills & Attributes _ Strong leadership and organisational capability Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Commercially aware, decisive, and solutions-focused Willingness to travel nationally _ Package & Benefits _ Competitive base salary (dependent on experience) 5% discretionary company bonus (based on annual performance) Car allowance and business mileage reimbursement 25 days' annual leave + bank holidays Company pension scheme and life assurance Ongoing professional development within the RED Group Apply Now This role offers the perfect blend of challenge, autonomy, and career progression.
