Administration and Grants Officer Location: Cambridge. This role is based on-site five days per week. Salary: £17.95 per hour Hours per Week : 35 hours per week (we are open to discussing some flexibility in working hours, or slightly reduced hours, for the right candidate) Founded in 1693, the Foundation of Edward Storey is an almshouse charity providing housing for older people across multiple sites in and around Cambridge. We also provide financial assistance to people in need. The Foundation is a small, friendly charity that is dedicated to making a positive and meaningful difference to people s lives through the provision of housing and grants. The Role To provide efficient and effective Administration Services to the Foundation s Trustees, Staff and Residents. Responsibility for managing the Foundation s grant giving processes to include liaising with applicants, administering forms, undertaking appropriate checks, compiling reports and presenting to Trustees. Requirements Knowledge and Skills Ability to communicate well at all levels and build effective relationships with colleagues and residents. Personal characteristics Committed to working as part of a small team to deliver excellent results. Organised. Self-motivated, able to work on own initiative with minimal day to day supervision. An excellent problem solver. Positive and enthusiastic. Flexible and adaptable, with good time management skills. An empathy for older people. Tact and confidentiality Additional Requirements A basic DBS check will be required for this role.
