Our client is a recognised Tier 1 Main Contractor who have a stable workload and have recently won a significant Project in Aberdeen With this in mind, they are now seeking to source a highly experienced Health, Safety and Environmental Manager with a range of project experience including the following abilities To be a leader in all aspects of health and safety matters. To instil and maintain a strong Safety Culture. Ensure all production staff maintain the highest standards of health & safety Champion best practice at all times. Achieve an accident-free working environment. Experience of complex Commercial projects above 25M value Maintain comprehensive training programmes. Ensure full compliance with all current legislation. Develop the skills of site-based management staff & subcontractors. Support group and national initiatives. Maintain close liaison with HSE and all relevant Enforcing Authorities. Ensure that senior management are kept up to date with changes in legislation. To carry out QA duties as required. You will be involved the appointment of the sub-contractor supply chain and will have responsibility for preparation of post -contract risk assessments and method statements and for monitoring and reporting to include risk management analysis and control. Ideal qualifications and experience: NEBOSH certificate or appropriate Health and Safety qualification AIEMA (Environment) Specific knowledge of quality management systems Lead Auditor Experienced in the design and delivery of safety training programmes and CMOISH. Sound knowledge of health, safety and environmental legislation. Self-motivated, to constantly improve upon established safety standards. Knowledge of risk management Knowledge of occupational health and behavioural based safety You will have a Commercial Main Contracting background and will have the personality and nature that promotes an open Company culture where Safety management is prioritised and best practice implemented on a daily basis.
