This role will play a central role in driving efficiency, governance, and performance across the underwriting function. You'll oversee operational frameworks, manage change initiatives, and ensure the control environment supports both growth and compliance objectives. Responsibilities Lead and develop the underwriting operations team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability. Drive process optimisation, automation, and continuous improvement across underwriting operations. Oversee operational governance, MI, and SLA performance. Partner closely with Underwriting, Finance, Claims, and Compliance to ensure smooth end-to-end operations. Lead change management projects including system implementations and new process design. Manage budgets, KPIs, and MI to support senior management decision-making. Ensure strong control, compliance, and risk management standards are maintained.
