Job Description Oxford Forge is looking for specialized individuals, who are eager to have a hands on experience and have a learning attitude. This position is mainly looking for individuals who can work off shifts. (2nd Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM and 3rd Shift (11:00 PM - 7:30 AM). The starting wage for Manufacturing Technician (In Training) is $21.96 plus a shift premium for off shifts. Required Skills and Education - Operating presses that forge steel, automatic or manual- Driving Forklifts- Sorting of parts- Checking Quality on all products- Ensuring a safe work environment- This position requires frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting (up to 50 lbs.) and carrying. It also requires occasional driving of a hi-lo.- Required to be able to perform work on ladders and platforms. Must have good balance and physical agility.- Must be able to work for prolonged durations for equipment repairs and job changeovers.- Working environment is a manufacturing facility with heavy equipment/machinery. Thus, requires exposure to high/low temperatures and loud noises.- Mental demands include problem solving, decision making and occasional supervision. Job Description Manages the implementation of new processes, selection of equipment to be purchased, and time estimates. Resolves issues with design, manufacturability, or build sequences. Ensures production-part acceptance and manufacturing readiness. Develops manufacturing equipment by studying manufacturing plans and commitments; evaluating manufacturing processes and requirements. Monitors equipment installations by advising crews. Meets production requirements by designing equipment modifications as needed Prepares equipment operators by conducting training; providing reference and support resources. Maintains process integrity by developing and updating policies, procedures, methods, and guidelines. Maintains equipment records by filing documents; updating equipment database.
